sweet spreadable strawberry jam with crispy bacon pieces
Bacon. Strawberries… in a jam? Sounds good to me!
We all know the flavour of bacon. It’s salty and smokey with a hint of sweetness that comes from the curing process involving granulated sugars and liquids such as maple syrup. Jams of course, are typically sweet. This bacon jam is naturally sweetened by coconut sugar, maple syrup and strawberries. These ingredients work to even the salty and sweet balance when mixed with the bacon.
The uses for this strawberry bacon jam are endless… on toast, crackers, in burgers, stirfrys, as a condiment for meats, the list goes on.
