refined sugar free paleo Whole30 ketchup by Jay’s Baking Me Crazy
Let me first say that I was skeptical about how this sugar free ketchup (tomato sauce for us Aussies) was going to taste. Turns out there was no reason for the skepticism, it tasted great! We’ve since used the sauce on burgers and alongside some sausages with tasty results.
Store-bought ketchup and most home made versions are packed with refined sugar. The sweetness in this sauce comes solely from the dates and as Jay mentions this sweetness balances perfectly with the spices and acidity from the other ingredients.
