Delicious and decadent Bailey’s Irish Cream brownies. Best served warm with a teaspoon of white chocolate Bailey’s ganache on the side.
Chai spiced cupcakes with a butter cream top and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Sweet and spicy and perfect for a cold winter’s day.

Bacon. Strawberries… in a jam? Sounds good to me! Sweet spreadable strawberry jam with crispy bacon pieces. Great for burgers, on toast and as a condiment.
Kangaroo meat is extremely lean and as a result needs to be cooked quickly and is best served medium rare. Grill or pan fry the fillets, make the dressing in a food processor or Thermomix and feel free to mix things up with the salad ingredients.
Pork fillet with a sweet and spicy glaze has been a favourite in my family since I was a kid growing up in South Africa. A simple dish that is delicious for a weeknight meal and flavoursome enough to impress for a dinner party.
Tiramisu is a decadent traditional Italian dessert that can be made with savoiardi (sponge finger) biscuits for an easy and delicious dessert. Some recipes call for raw egg to be used though I choose to leave it out. I do, however, include philadelphia cream cheese in the cake to maintain a think consistency.
The first time I tried buttermilk fried chicken I was really impressed with the taste and texture. It was served in a burger and it was only a matter of time until I tried it at home. It may seem like there are a lot of steps involved but it’s not as complicated as you may think. You will, however, have some very messy benches by the end of it!
With Easter just around the corner I have started making Easter treats for my family hampers. I really do enjoy experimenting with flavours and textures in different types of chocolate.
Chicken marinated in a mix of honey and soy with a few extras tastes great especially grilled on the barbecue. Whether it be chicken thighs, wings or breasts this honey soy marinade works a treat. Throw in some chopped chilli if you like the heat!
When bananas start to brown I pop them in the freezer to use in smoothies or for baking. While my go to is normally plain banana bread I like to mix things up around Christmas time and make banana cherry bread when cherries are in season.
Inspired by Martha Stewart’s thumbprint biscuits these cute little spider biscuits are fun to make, look a little scary and a delicious Halloween treat.
At my in-laws request I made a baked cheesecake filled with white chocolate and topped with raspberries. At the time i was on a gluten free diet so I used gluten free biscuits for the base.
This is a lovely salad for a warm summer evening. Well actually it’s good for anytime of the year really. Sweet mangos, spicy chilli, crunchy noodles and succulent beef.
With an excess amount of gingerbread men I needed an excuse the grind them up for something useful. I love a baked cheesecake and the men make for a great base. I turned the filling into a chai flavour to complement the gingerbread base.
